In Barangay Kisante of North Cotabato in the town of Makilala, two little girls were rescued from drowning by 5 villagers. The two girls Aziah Yhanes Deo, 7 years old and Mayzel Cortez, 3 years old, were walking along the streets of Barangay Kisante when they were crossing a bridge made out of bamboo.

The bridge collapsed and the two girls fell into the drainage canal that was flooded because of the rain. Cesar Pampangan, Julius Onto, Nobenloi Laresa, Richard Cuenca and Ramcis Damali were quick to jump into the action.
