The stunning and artistic contemporary art of Dale Bagtas, from Obando Bulacan, won two special awards in the Biennale Internazionale D’arte Contemporanea E Design 2023 event in Florence, Italy, on October 23.

Bagtas’ winning art piece, entitled “Redemption of Humanity,” won fourth place in the Mixed Media Category and second place in the Visitors Award Category.

His art piece was inspired by humans being redeemed through their various perceptions of beauty in external reality, thus using acrylic mixed with gold leaves in his painting.

“We are, all of us, already “redeemed,” so long as we acknowledge our connection not just with our fellow human beings but with the rest of creation, which all share the same elementary particles, the same propulsive energy,” Bagtas’ wrote as a caption on his Facebook post.

With pride and honor, the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, Elmer G. Cato, congratulated Bagtas along with his father, Aris Bagtas, who is also a multi-awarded artist.

Bagtas continues to enjoy his stay in Europe, particularly in Germany, alongside family and friends after achieving a new milestone as a Filipino artist.
