De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde President Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC recently welcomed Philippine Airlines President Captain Stanley Ng, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Major in Computer Applications degree at the college in 2002.

Now a key representative of the travel and tourism chain, Captain Ng was treated to a comprehensive tour of the facilities and laboratories of the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) as well as the Hotel Benilde Maison de La Salle.

As the first pilot who has assumed presidency of PAL since the early 1960s, he likewise visited the college’s newest amenity – the innovative mock-up airbus specially designed for the real-world training of the college’s tourism students.

At the hosted dinner that followed, catered by Benildeans and mentored by faculty members, the executives from the premiere flag carrier and the educational institution discussed the shared commitment to ensure the continuous growth of the hospitality and tourism scene through possible plans for partnerships.
