With a new addition in its long list of accolades, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) was hailed as the Top Media Publisher in this year’s TikTok Awards Philippines.

Also the most followed Philippine news publisher on TikTok, the highly acclaimed news magazine program hosted by GMA News and Public Affairs pillar Jessica Soho has so far amassed over 600 million views with over 3.7 million followers and 48.9 million likes.

Its top stories on the platform include the search for the 22-year-old female who mysteriously disappeared in Palawan. These videos have collectively gained over 40.4 million views.

“Thank You, Tiktok for this honor and an even bigger Thank You for allowing our content to thrive and flourish in your platform,” said Soho of KMJS’ latest recognition. “To everyone and to all our followers, let’s continue spreading good cheer and good vibes that lift people up as well as correct information that help people cope better during these hard times,” she added.

“Ang TikTok ay isa sa malalaking source ng mga viral at trending na kuwento ng aming programa. Dahil ang TikTok na unang sumikat sa filters at dance challenges, naging platform na rin para ipakita ang husay, talento, at kuwento ng Pilipino – na mapapasabi ka ng ‘i-KMJS Na Yan!’ Muli, maraming salamat TikTok Philippines,” said GMA Public Affairs Asst. Vice President and KMJS Program Manager Lee Joseph Castel, who received the award on behalf of Soho and the KMJS team.

GMA Network Senior Assistant Vice President for News and Public Affairs Digital Media Jaemark Tordecilla also underscored KMJS’ on air and online presence. “KMJS has always been a trendsetter on any platform, whether it’s television or online, to bring their world-class brand of storytelling to the widest audiences possible. This award reflects the thrust of GMA News and Public Affairs to bring Serbisyong Totoo to Filipinos everywhere, whatever device they may use.”

The annual award recognizes creators who have embraced the value of TikTok and have created a big impact on the platform in the past year.

The Network’s news and public affairs accounts Unang Hirit, and 24 Oras were also among the nominees for Top Media Publisher award while the GMA Network handle and YouLOL were both nominated for the Top Entertainment Award.

Kapuso artists Kyline Alcantara, Althea Ablan, Cassy Legaspi, and Dasuri Choi were likewise some of the contenders for Celebrity of the Year. XOXO was also shortlisted for the PPOP Group of the Year award.

KMJS, which continues to be a force to be reckoned with on other social media platforms, similarly remains as the Filipinos’ favorite Sunday viewing habit on TV.
