“I don’t know all these Filipinos in here, but I know one thing: we have the same uncle. Every holiday, he has to talk to everybody,” comedian Jo Koy related to Filipinos on every holiday season on his Netflix standup special Comin’ in Hot. He never felt much at home during the special with the way he shares unique Filipino traits like using plastic tubs as Tupperwares, gathering rice with a coffee mug, sipping “black” pearls with our “big straw” and having rice with munggo as school lunch.

Even as an American-raised comedian, Joseph Glenn Herbert connected to the average Filipino. And now, he takes the rarest opportunity to return to his homeland.

Case in point was earlier when he was spotted in Cubao shooting for an undisclosed project before his stand-up shows. Hmm, we wonder our boy Jo Koy is up to!

Catch him on his Just Kidding World Tour on January 14 at Waterfront Cebu City and January 15 at MOA Arena.
