The newly released “RISE” music video featuring Inigo Pascual and Sam Concepcion—a fitting visual to the cross-cultural collaboration by ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records—honors the 2020 heroes who are lending a hand for the world’s battle against this year’s biggest threats.

Aside from Inigo and Sam, the animated video straight out of a comic book also features American R&B singer Eric Bellinger, Manila-based producer Moophs, Malaysian artist Zee Avi, and BTS’ “Black Swan” composer Vince Nantes, all clad in superhero suits battling various ‘2020 monsters.’

The artists dedicate the video to everyday heroes that include medical professionals, food industry laborers, couriers, media workers, advocates of gender equality, purveyors of press freedom, and many more.

The music video seeks to inspire viewers to rise above the villains of today such as climate change, racial, gender, and social inequality, recession, oppression, and the COVID-19 pandemic, vividly illustrated in lifelike-animated scenes set in various countries.

Netizens have acclaimed “RISE” for its inspiring and timely message.

“This is amazing. Love and hope around the world through music,” said Sailor Salad Llaneta on YouTube.

“The world needs to hear this song! Make sure to share this to friends and family!,” posted Koko of all Trades.

“Essential song for what’s happening today and the next future battles. Rise and fight!,” Victoria Doodle shared.

The universal track is Tarsier Records’ biggest release so far, an exciting collaboration that had its worldwide release two weeks ago as ABS-CBN continues to champion Filipino talents to the world stage and serves as a gateway for international artists to the Philippines.
