Grab, the leading everyday services app of Filipinos, has announced a partnership with Lipa City, Batangas, that will support the economic recovery and resilience of the city by improving access to safe, efficient, and convenient delivery services through the availability of GrabFood and GrabExpress.

In its commitment to assist Batangueños achieve a sense of normalcy after months of quarantine restrictions and natural calamities, Grab’s on-demand digital mobility solutions will now provide thousands of livelihood opportunities to Lipa City. To provide livelihood opportunities to the city’s residents and displaced workers, Grab now supports an expansive fleet of delivery riders as they address the essential delivery needs of the city’s households and businesses. On top of this, Grab’s hyper-localized mapping system will ensure greater growth opportunities to local businesses, allowing them to establish stronger delivery networks to areas where their offerings are most in-demand.

With GrabFood, homegrown restaurants such as Casa Carmen, Marjant Lomi House, Side Grill, and Moo Maa will be able to serve more Batangueño residents and visitors. As Lipa City’s MSMEs continue to seek ways to thrive in the new reality, Grab’s on-demand delivery services will continue to open its doors to more restaurants and establishments in order to promote the city’s local flavors in the days to come.

For non-food businesses who are likewise looking for other delivery services, Grab aims to provide them extended market reach, delivery services, learning opportunities, tools and training, and marketing boosts by onboarding them as GrabExpress merchants.

“Now, more than ever, we seek to expand our roles in nation-building by linking businesses, communities, and governments all over the country to promote inclusive economic growth and recovery. We are proud to have the Lipa City as our partners in our commitment to reach more Filipinos, more cities, and more regions. By doing so, we are able to enact our mission of solving economic problems through mobility solutions and better access to the digital economy,” said Jay Lim, Head of Expansions for Grab.

Extending Grab’s services throughout the country is a key focus area of its social impact program, Grab For Good, which guides the company’s initiatives to promote financial inclusion and better growth opportunities through technology, innovation, and digital solutions.
