The GMA Network management and the GMA7 Employees Union signed the 2022-2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in a virtual ceremony held on August 25.

Regarded as one of the highest bonuses to be given by a broadcast company to its rank and file employees, the agreement contains a signing bonus of P100,000 for employees with a tenure of less than five years; P115,000 for those with five to ten years; and P130,000 for those with more than 10 years of tenure. There will also be a wage increase of P3,000 for 2022 and P3,000 for 2023.

There will be increases as well in employee benefits including calamity pay, fire and/or calamity assistance, hospitalization, and optical benefits.

Leading the CBA signing were GMA Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon, President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong and GMA Union President Ronaldo G. Condestable.

“In so far as management is concerned, we do not look to our employees as employees but as our partners in our day to day endeavor to make our company succeed,” Gozon emphasized. “That is where I am very thankul for, ang kooperasyon at ang pagsasama natin na nagbubunga naman na inyong nakikita,” he added.
