A group of riders from Bicol will go to Batangas on Saturday (January 18) to donate 3,000 face masks, canned goods, noodles and eye drops to residents affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Vince Villar, an Albay broadcaster and rider, in an interview here on Wednesday, said so far, they already have more than 1,000 masks and more are coming from various groups of motorcycle riders in the region.

“Being a media practitioner here in Albay, who knows and experienced the impact of an eruption, it’s high time to help them in our simple way. We are very thankful for the positive response from different groups of riders that donated,” he said.

Villar said around 25 riders and volunteers will deliver the donations.

“We will ride on Saturday to Batangas and will be back as soon as we are able to distribute the items,” he added. (PNA)
