In celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Republic Cement’s official co-processing and resource recovery group, ecoloop, partnered with Pure Oceans for a Closed Loop Cleanup at Tingloy, Batangas. During the day, Republic Cement employees, along with other volunteers and community members, collected, segregated, and properly disposed of 252kg of ocean trash. 94kg of the collected marine litter was qualified waste, which was turned over to ecoloop for co-processing as alternative fuel. The initiative is part of Republic Cement’s commitment towards a greener environment by providing alternative waste management solutions, especially for end-of-life plastics, and embedding sustainability all throughout our value chain to build a greener, Stronger Republic.
