Filipino comedienne Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol slowly making her dreams come true. In a vlog she posted on Thursday, March 31, she shared that she has finally bought her first car.

In the vlog she uploaded, she became emotional when it finally dawned on her that she could finally buy herself a car.

“Sa tagal ng pinaghirapan ni Hipon, ngayon pa lang siya magkakaroon ng first own car niya,” said Wilbert Tolentino, her manager. According to him, this was Budol’s first achievement after working so hard for a long time.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 5, she expressed her gratitude to Tolentino, her fans, and supporters for the love and support they have given her throughout her career.

In a vlog with Karen Davila that was uploaded last Saturday, April 2, she also shared that the money she’s earning from vlogging will be used to buy a house for her family.

She also shared in the vlog that she will be joining the Binibining Pilipinas pageant this year.

The comedienne shared that it was her manager that pushed her to do so. “Minotivate po ako ni Sir Wilbert kasi siya po nakakita ng potential ko. Parang sabi niya na para ma-boost pa yung confidence ko, maging maganda ako sa paningin ko kasi hindi po talaga ko nagagandahan sa sarili ko,” she said.

When asked about her feelings about the pageant, the comedienne expressed nervousness about joining the beauty pageant. She also shared that she joined a beauty pageant held in their Barangay before, which earned her the nickname “Hipon.” She admitted that the remark used to hurt her, but she’s now alright with it.

On Monday, April 4, she also shared photos of herself with makeup to prepare for her registration to join Binibining Pilipinas on Friday, April 8. She also posted a photo of herself wearing a swimsuit.

Herlene Budol rose to popularity as she became a regular host of Willie Revillame’s ‘Wowowin’ after appearing in a show segment. As of writing, her YouTube channel has garnered over 1.7 million subscribers.
