Broadway Star Lea Salonga posted another screenshot of the Self-learning Module (SLM) prepared by the Department of Education (DepEd) about a question of tattoos for Social Studies subject.

In a Facebook post on November 17, the singer shared a part of a photo in the module exercise that states: “Ang tattoo ay simbolo ng ________________.”

The questions followed by multiple choices of answers: A. Pagiging kriminal (being a criminal); B. Pagkaalipin (slavery); C. Kagitingan at kagandahan (bravery and beauty); D. Pagigng mababa ng katayuan sa lipunan (having low-standing in society)

To prove the answer, a netizen commented on a thread saying the answer key is “A. Pagiging criminal (being a criminal).”

“Okay, someone would need to tell me if this thing is really ok’d by the DepEd. And if so, WHAT KIND OF BS IS THIS???” Salonga questioned.

“I am THIS CLOSE to getting a tattoo if only to prove a point,” she added.

However, the DepEd has not yet responded on the matter.

This is not the first time that the singer showed concern in the country’s educational lapses in learning modules through social media. Last October, Salonga had also reacted over a screenshot of an activity that has an illustration of an owl misidentified as an ostrich and the color identification of the given set of crayons when having it printed as black and white.
