A magical glasshouse Christmas mall centerpiece has been launched to boost tourism in the town this yuletide season.
Municipal tourism officer Aila Seradoy said the annual centerpieces of the SM City mall attract more local tourists from the eastern and central parts of the province.
“Our town has mountainous areas and a Lady of Lourdes grotto, which was the apparition site during the ‘90s and has since become a pilgrimage site for devotees. We also have resorts and hotels but people really put in their itinerary the visit to the mall,” she said in an interview on Monday.
The centerpiece is a 33-foot glasshouse with a giant music box, and a ballerina dancing at the top middle painted with gold and red colors perfect for selfies or family pictures. It was formally launched on Nov. 8 with performance of the Perkins twins and Ballet Baguio.
The SM City Rosales has also scheduled other holiday activities, such as the sky dance drone show on December 21 and fireworks display on December 25. (PNA)
