The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has so far pre-registered 46,000 household heads and their family members in Antique province.

PSA Antique provincial officer Jesus Escote Jr., in a media interview Thursday, said this is in compliance with the Philippine Identification System Act or Republic Act Number 11055.

“We started the pre-registration last October 12,” he said.

He said they target to pre-register 111,125 household heads and 111,125 family members of these households, or total of 222,250 from Oct. 12 to Dec. 30, 2020.

“Only one member in each targeted family will be pre-registered then,” he said.

He said with the 46,000 household heads and their family members now pre-registered, it is already equivalent to about 20 percent of their target.

Meanwhile, Escote said starting November 25, those who had been pre-registered as household heads would be requested to go to their respective local government unit (LGU) Registration Centers for their biometrics data.

“We are giving priority to the registration of the household heads from November 25 to December 30,” he said.

He said the family members who had been pre-registered are expected to have their biometrics data registered by January 2021.

He also said that the household heads two days following their biometric and registration are being expected to receive their single national identification (IDs).

“Their IDs will be delivered to them door-to-door,” Escote said.

Escote, in a Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Antique radio program on Wednesday, said there are 85 PSA Registration Officer 1 and 29 Registration Officer 2 who reach out to their targeted household heads and their family members in the 18 municipalities of the province.

“The target for the pre-registration are those listed in the Listahanan 3 provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD),” he said.

The Listahanan 3 is a result of the enumeration of the DSWD to identify the poorest of the poor families throughout the country. (PNA)
