The city government here is continuously conducting disinfection activities as intensified precautionary measure against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Mayor Cristy Angeles ordered on Tuesday the decontamination of the rural health units, schools, and other public facilities.

She likewise directed the strict enforcement of other preventive measures against Covid-19.

Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force, there are five new infections in the province — three are from this city and the other two from Mayantoc and Concepcion towns.

This brought the total number of cases to 550 with 199 on active status.

The task force added that two patients have beaten the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 327.
