World Vision continues to affirm its commitment in supporting children in their education amid COVID-19. In Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, where the organisation has been present for five years now, a public elementary school received a unit of photocopier that can also print and scan and 17 reams of bond paper through the Every child A Reader and Nurtured (EARN) Project.

The donation will help the teachers produce printed modules which will be one of the learning modes during the new normal.

“Around 1,160 students will benefit from this. On behalf of our teachers, pupils and parents, we would like to thank you for making us beneficiary of your Every child A Reader and Nurtured (EARN) Project. This will help our pupils and teachers to cope and adapt to the new normal environment of education. We hope that you can continue to help us and other schools in making learning and reading possible for all our pupils. God bless and keep safe everyone,” shares Cheryl Rose Magno, the school principal.

Aside from the EARN Project, World Vision has also partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) for the Abutin Na10: Para sa Sampung Milyong Mag-aaral, Sampung Piso, Sampung Araw, Sampung Milyong Pilipino fundraising campaign. The project aims to mobilise partners to support the implementation of DepEd’s Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) particularly the printing of self learning materials and purchasing of gadgets for the benefit of 10 million Filipino learners nationwide.
