Two senior citizens are breaking stereotypes and proving that age is no hindrance to achieving one’s dream. Dominga Malinog, 67, and Nicolas Sucgang, 74, have both recently accomplished significant educational milestones, inspiring lots of netizens.

Dominga Malinog, a resident of Koronadal, South Cotabato, completed her junior high school education through the Alternative Learning System (ALS) at the age of 67. Her journey began when her son, who is also a teacher, noticed her eagerness to engage with educational materials. Through his son’s guidance and encouragement, Dominga enrolled in ALS and successfully completed her studies.

At 74, Nicolas “Lolo Jao” Sucgang celebrated his graduation from Senior High School at Napti Integrated School (NAPTI-IS) in Batan, Aklan. Specializing in Agri-Fishery Arts and Aquaculture under the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track (TVL Track).

A video captured by Carmen Dalida Selorio, a teacher at NAPTI-IS, shows Lolo Jao beaming with pride as he walks across the stage in his graduation gown to receive his diploma.
