ABS-CBN Books continues to advocate love for reading and upholds that a boundless selection of books is available to Filipinos at different places and phases in their lives in its newly launched “May Libro Para Sa Iyo” video campaign.

“Whether we are home or away from our loved ones, suffering from heartbreak or celebrating life’s simple joys, fighting for our dreams or looking to spend our time fruitfully, there is always a book for each one of us,” said Charo Santos-Concio, who penned “My Journey: The Story of an Unexpected Leader” and is one of the authors in the latest television ad.

Entitled “May Libro Para Sa Iyo: Opening a World of Possibilities through Reading,” the TVC is now airing on various channels and is also up on ABS-CBN Books’ YouTube channel. The material was conceptualized by ABS-CBN’s Creative Communications Management (CCM) team, inspired by the dedication page that is usually seen at the start of a book.

“Each book is normally dedicated to someone, and this gave us the idea to encourage people to rediscover their personal connection to books,” CCM promo specialist Raywin Tome explained.

Aside from Santos-Concio, the video includes Alex Gonzaga, Dimples Romana, Arci Munoz, Makiwander, DJ Chacha, Ardy Roberto, Fr. Tito Caluag, Binibining Mia, Juan Miguel Severo, Chinkee Tan, Pia Wurtzbach, Ricky Lee, Bernadette Sembrano, Boy Abunda, Bea Alonzo, and Sen. Nancy Binay.

It is a follow-up to the “May Libro Para Sa Iyo: Rediscover the Joy of Reading” campaign launched last April encouraging Pinoys to remain in the safety of their homes and explore their passion for reading.

More Filipinos are indeed catching up on reading books during these months of community quarantine as ABS-CBN Books experienced a 130% increase in average monthly sales in its stores on Lazada and Shopee.

ABS-CBN’s publishing arm has also expanded its e-book lineup with 40 titles now available on Amazon Kindle, Scribd, and Apple Books as the network continues its digital expansion and makes its offerings more accessible to global readers.

Aside from its reading advocacy, ABS-CBN Books is actively searching and developing the next generation of writers with Project Foreword, where aspiring authors get the chance to be mentored and collaborate with Ardy Roberto, Makiwander, and Ricky Lee on their first published books.
