South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo recently attended the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines’ thanksgiving celebration “Pasasalamat” in a barong tagalog designed by renowned Filipino designer Randy Ortiz.
The actor stole the spotlight in a sleek black organic-dyed piña barong tagalog, paired with modern striped tuxedo pants, and stylish footwear from Marikina’s Godfather Shoes.
The look not only showcased Ji Soo’s impeccable fashion sense but also his deep appreciation for Filipino culture.
Known for his roles in GMA 7’s hit shows like Black Rider and Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, as well as the movie Mujigae, Ji Soo has become a beloved figure in the local entertainment scene.
He mingled as a true Filipino at the start-studded event where influential figures from government, media, and the entertainment industry gathered to showcase the Philippines as a premier global tourism destination.
The TBP recorded Php 11.3 billion in sales lead in 2024 and also had collaborations with various influential personalities namely American actor and model Timothy Granaderos, Filipino-American Nico Santos, American actor Josh Dela Cruz, American pop-rock act LANY, and Kim Ji Soo.
These collaborations have resulted in over Php 1.44 billion in media values, further amplifying the presence of the Philippines worldwide.
