Better connectivity and data experience are now being felt in cities and municipalities in the country, following Globe’s aggressive cell sites builds and network upgrades, boosted further by the implementation of the Bayanihan To Recover as One Act to aid in fast tracking of build permits.

Several Globe customers have started to attest to this change in service experience. In Caloocan, where the telco has built 25 new cell sites around the city since January this year, Juleson Opao shares, “Nakakatuwa na ang Pilipinas, sumasabay na sa mayayamang bansa. Nakakahabol na ang ating internet. Sana magtuluy-tuloy,” (It’s nice that the Philippines is keeping up with the more developed countries. Our internet is now catching up. Hopefully this continues)

Opao, a seaman working overseas, says that he used to be very dismayed with the mobile network situation in the Philippines, comparing it to what he experiences abroad.

Globe has laid out a 3-pronged strategy to improve data experience including aggressive cell site builds; upgrading all cell sites to 4G/LTE; and fast tracking the fiberization of Filipino homes nationwide.

The company strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9 which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the 10 United Nations Global Compact principles and 10 UN SDGs.
