The provincial Inter-Agency Task Force coronavirus disease (Covid-19) has allowed local churches to hold masses and other religious gatherings starting Friday, Oct.30.

Provincial information officer Jeesrel Himang said Thursday religious activities and gatherings will be allowed but on a 30-percent capacity of the venue only.

The provincial IATF’s decision came two weeks after the tightened quarantine measures following a spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in the province.

As of Oct. 27, the Department of Health-9 (DOH-9) said the province had 237 Covid-19 cases, 160 of which were active, with seven deaths and 70 recoveries.

Meanwhile, Himang said cockpit activities would remain closed “until further notice from the provincial IATF.”

The province, comprising of a component city and 26 towns, remains under modified general community quarantine. (PNA)
