The revenge drama series “Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin” is about to become more heartrending as the lives of its power couples get even more entangled in their continuous fight for justice and love.

“Mas marami pang pagmamahal at sakit ang aabangan ng mga manonood dito,” teased Benedict Mique, one of the directors of the afternoon series topbilled by JC De Vera, Jane Oineza, Ria Atayde, and Tony Labrusca.

“All teleseryes are the same, but this is just more fun to make and watch,” said the director who accepted the project alongside Direk FM Reyes.

He particularly loves exploring fresh, gripping narratives with actors he has not worked with previously, an opportunity he found in “Nag-aapoy Na Damdamin.”

“I love working with new actors. Na-excite ako when you put these actors into these characters. Ang sarap laruin. Makikita nyo naman ang results,” referring to the chemistry of Philip (JC) and Claire (Jane), the battle of egos between Lucas (Tony) and Philip, the jealousy in Melinda’s (Ria) eyes, and many more.

Direk Benedict also pointed out that the resentful acts of both Lucas and Philip mirror real-life because these are rooted from their pain and ego and it’s fun to put them in the influential characters of a well-loved doctor (Philip) and a very good lawyer (Lucas) driving viewers to make their choice between #TeamPhilip and #TeamLucas.

Mentored by no less than National Artist Ricky Lee, Direk Benedict has an extensive list of projects which he wrote, including the TV series “On The Wings of Love” and “Since I Found You.” His film directing credits meanwhile include the films “MOMOL Nights” and “Wild Little Love.”
