Meet Lolo Rodel, also known as Lolo Smart, a senior repairman for 40 years who joined YouTube in October 2020 after he stopped repairing in his shop due to the pandemic.

Lolo Smart’s YouTube channel subscription went up overnight after a netizen named Ramil Lantican posted about his YouTube channel on Facebook for his calm, helpful, and easy-to-grasp DIY repair tutorials about household objects and appliances.

Right after Lantican’s post online, it started attracting the attention of the netizens until his post collected thousands of likes and shares as they started watching Lolo Smart’s DIY repair tutorials and subscribed to his channel.

What netizens love about Lolo Smart’s channel is that he puts an effort into every video by putting subtitles and engaging visual designs on his tutorial videos to capture the attention of his viewers.

With less than a hundred views per video tutorial before, Lolo Smart has now a total of more than 200 thousand views in all his combined tutorial videos on YouTube.

The power of social media has done something good for Lolo Smart, as he enjoys helping his viewers fix their home appliances without spending money.

Aside from DIY repair tutorials, Lolo Smart also shares videos about his tips on photography, which he admitted is his hobby, as he hopes to bring joy and awareness to his viewers.
