Many of the Filipinos are shocked on the appearance of two Filipino cast on the latest season of the hit series Lucifer in Netflix.

Meet Doctor Glenn Fernandez, also a singer and actor in the United States. He played Danilo, the florist and grand-child of the Filipina flower shop owner in the Netflix series.

The scene is from season 5 episode 7 when Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) went to the flower shop to do the operation, however, the flower shop owner, Jovita, doesn’t speak English—only Tagalog.

According to the emergency doctor, he got excited when he got the call from his agent and manager to portray a Filipino character because that rarely happens in Hollywood.

The preparation of the series had been made before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Fernandez is based on Los Angeles and was raised in Louisiana. He has only visited Philippines twice to see his relatives.
