1.Dr. Salvacion “Sally” Rodriguez-Gatchalian, President of the Philippine Pediatric Society

Dr. Gatchalian was the president of the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS), the older sister of TV actress Ruby Rodriguez, and also served as the assistant director at the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine that houses the country’s lone testing center for COVID-19.

In a post written by her colleague, Dr. Edsel Maurice Salvana, the doctor honors Dr. Gatchalaian in a heartwarming tribute. “Ma’am Sally wasa mentor, friend, and cheerleader to countless physicians and ID specialists.
