Over two decades since he ventured into music, OPM hitmaker Ice Seguerra is now fully embracing his songwriter era in his newly dropped single pack featuring two self-penned songs, “Nandiyan Ka” and “Wag Na Lang Pala.”

“I’ve spent most of my career giving life to other people’s words. This time, I get to give life to mine,” said Ice, who popularized “Pagdating ng Panahon” (2021) and “Para Lang Sa’yo” (2007) and interpreted the 2013 Himig Handog Best Song “Anong Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa.”

“Nandiyan Ka” is a song tribute to his late father, Daddy Dick, about a love that was always there, unnoticed until it was too late.

“It’s about someone who loved you consistently, but you didn’t see it,” said Ice, who composed the song with ABS-CBN Music creatives, content, and operations head Jonathan Manalo.

Meanwhile, he wrote “Wag Na Lang Pala” with his wife, Liza Diño-Seguerra. It’s about a love that never found its timing.

The new singles will be part of Ice’s upcoming album, “Being Ice,” his first full-length solo release in 10 years, featuring songs he all penned himself.

“Being Ice” will be released under Fire and Ice Music and distributed by Star Music on August 8.

“‘Wag Na Lang Pala” and “Nandiyan Ka” are now available for streaming on major music streaming platforms. For more details, follow Star Music on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
