From enduring the pain to resting on the side of the road to finish her run, Filipina Michelle Butiu successfully claimed the fastest crossing of Qatar on foot under the Guinness World Records.

On April 6, Butiu started her official attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest crossing in Qatar on foot. She began in Al Ruwais, and her ending point is Abu Samra, almost 200 kilometers away.

The Filipina trainer shared video clips of her running journey to claim the title record, which showed how she rested at the side of the road in Qatar in the middle of her run.

After days of waiting, Butiu received great news from Guinness World Records, saying that she was certified to be the fastest individual to run Qatar by foot.

In the recorded data from Guinness, Butiu was able to complete her run for a total of one day, six hours, and 23 minutes. Which is 7 minutes faster than the previous title holder.

With this title, she expressed her gratitude for the people who supported and prayed for her during the official attempt.

“Dear April, sa lahat ng April ikaw Ang HINDI FOOLS! You made my WORLD Rock!!!” she said on her Facebook account.

Celebrating her win, Butiu encouraged individuals to always hold onto their fighting spirit, even if failures may occur, as this serves as their key to success.
