Actress Bela Padilla has launched Pagkain Para Sa Pinoy to raise funds for the street vendors around the Metro who are affected by the month-long enhanced community quarantine.

Thankfully, netizens possessed generous hearts, so reaching the P1 million goal only took less than 2 days.

The good news doesn’t stop there, though. Just this morning, Bela announced that she woke up to the news that someone donated a staggering P2 million, which totals the fundraiser to P3.3 million!

Pagkain Para Sa Pinoy aims to help out street vendors who won’t be having a source of income due to the lockdown. The 28 year old actress revealed that she will divide the donations in 16 ways for the 16 cities in Metro Manila. According to her tweet on March 27, she is already “looking for the best deals for food now and hopefully be able to deliver everything this week”.
