During Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection, not only did they feature the inspired puffy dresses but also a radical look for their models. For their hair and makeup direction, they’ve managed to recreate exaggerated versions of cosmetically enhanced individuals showcased through their models.

Puffed up lips, sunken faces, and extra defined cheekbones were seen on the runway. They used prosthetics in order to achieve this look. According to British Vogue, it was meant to be a “play on beauty standards of today, the past, and the future.

Its audience took a liking to this creative vision and called it, “positively inspired” and an “amazing representation of idealized beauty.”

Vogue Paris captions on Instagram: “From resculptured cheekbones to exaggeratedly inflated lips, makeup artist and special effects expert @kynebanina and his studio to create cosmetic enhancements using prosthetics, making the models look like they had been through some extreme surgeries.”
