Nora Aunor exhibits that actions speak louder than words when rumors circulate that she has been committing good deeds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the health crisis struck, tales about Ate Guy’s initiatives have been surfacing the internet. However, the 67-year old actress could not distribute the assistance financially as senior citizens are advised to comply with the quarantine protocols.

When the TV industry shut down operations, she reportedly gave financial aid to production staff who lost their source of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Compassion has filled the actress’s heart, but she refuses to talk about the situation of her colleagues.

Another instance was on Monday. After hearing the news that the repatriated OFWs were stranded at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the superstar immediately prepared around 500 food packs to be sent to the location.

The goods were distributed at Villamor Elementary School, Villamor Air Base Golf Course, and up to the Baclaran Church.

A new batch of rice donations reached some Filipinos who could not go home to Bohol.

Eventually, a fan and good friend learned about the Superstar’s project and was inspired to donate, so they contributed 3 thousand more boiled eggs and bread to the OFWs at the location.

Celebrities like Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, and Catriona Gray have been the talk for leading the way in helping others. And we have to give them credit where credit is due. The famous people in the entertainment industry, despite exuding the image, have the choice to be role models or not. Regardless, these personalities have chosen the latter and encourage their following to do the same.

For that, we thank them for using their platform so less fortunate ones could have some convenience in their lives—even just for a brief moment.
