Star City in Pasay catches on fire after midnight on Wednesday, causing the amusement park to hold its operations until December.

The fire reportedly started at 12:30 am in a stockroom where stuff toys and prizes were stored.

Around 70 firetrucks and volunteers arrived as the fire hit the fifth alarm level Task Force Bravo at 2:20 am. By 4:00 am, it was reported to be under control.

Star City’s well-known Snow World along with other indoor rides was completely obliterated while the outdoor rides remain intact.

Superintendent Paul Pili, stated that the fire has taken a toll on the building leaving 20% of it nearly damaged as well.

The preliminary investigation detected no casualties but also possible different origin of the fire, may be electrical distress or arson.
