Some areas will experience rain showers Wednesday due to the easterlies affecting the eastern section of Luzon and the Visayas, and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies would cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Aurora and Isabela.

The same weather condition will prevail over Caraga, Davao region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi due to the ITCZ.

Flash floods or landslides are likely in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago.

PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said no low-pressure area was seen inside the country.

He added that there is only a slim chance for the country to experience weather disturbance this week. (PNA)
