Former actor and politician Jomari Yllana proved that Chilvary isn’t dead as he formally asked his girlfriend to be his wife through pamamanhikan.

The love story of Jomari and actress Abby Viduya started in the mid-’90s, when they were still active in their showbiz careers, but ended in a split.

But two decades later, the two reunited in 2019, where they were able to rekindle their young love and decided to take their relationship to a deeper level.

As they gave their love another try, Jomari finally asked for Abby’s hand in marriage through a pamamanhikan with her family.

On February 26, the actor happily shared on his social media account some pamamanhikan pictures that were taken when he visited Abby’s house in Parañaque.

The photos showed Jomari formally talking to Abby’s mother about their plans for marriage.

Jomari jokingly called himself “old-fashioned” in his caption, but a lot of netizens applauded the actor for the courteousness and sincerity he displayed upon honoring the family of his bride-to-be.

On her Instagram account, Abby expressed her gratitude and unfaltering love towards Jomari as she wrote: “The sweetest thing my husband-to-be has ever done is ask my mom for my hand in marriage.”

They also had a simple feast to conclude the day, where Abby’s other relatives and friends were seen.

Truly, the couple proved that it is never too late to love again as long as there is mutual respect, trust, and commitment in your relationship that will serve as strong foundations for your ever-growing love.
