“Incognito” continues to take Filipino action to the next level as the series’ stars share how they worked together as one unit while braving extreme weather conditions in recent taping locations such as Itogon, Benguet and Yamagata, Japan during the show’s midseason mediacon on Monday (April 7).

Richard Gutierrez, who plays JB Bonifacio, shared their experience in dealing with the fierce snowfall during their two-week shoot in Yamagata, Japan.

“Sobrang lamig sa lugar na ‘yun at talagang snow every day. Na-experience namin ang legit na snowstorm. Talagang it was challenging for everyone. We were tested everyday and we were able to do it as a group, as a unit. And after that, parang you can take us anywhere. That’s the type of experience na after kahit saan niyo ko dalhin, kaya ko na,” he said.

Daniel Padilla shared that they faced extremely opposite climates in Itogon and Japan, the former being very hot and the latter being fiercely cold. But he expressed that these hardships were “all worth it” and he is proud to be a part of “Incognito.”

Daniel’s exceptional acting as Andres while searching for his brother, Jun, is one of the most talked about scenes among the viewers. “Gusto ko ‘tong genre na ‘to kasi marami akong natutunan. Nasusubukan ko ‘yung sarili ko. Minsan, di ko alam kung kaya ko pa kaya sinasagad ko ‘yung sarili ko. Tapos kaya ko pala,” he said.

In the midseason trailer, the Kontraks are tasked to capture a certain Kenji Lee, who is involved in an organized crime group. The Kontraks will face Japanese hostiles and engage in hand-to-hand and bloody combats in the icy streets of fictional Nihon, Japan. Andres Malvar (Daniel Padilla) will also be faced with a new discovery about Jun’s disappearance.

When asked about his reaction towards the curiosity in the character of Jun, Creative Manager Jay Fernando said that he is “happy that the audiences are engaged not just in the action scenes or the Kontraks, but as well as each and everyone’s journeys.” He also shared that audiences should watch out for the new mission in Japan because of its important impact on the lives of the Kontraks and because it sheds light on the mysterious identities of the El Cano, Raven, and many more.

Moreover, Ian Veneracion, who plays the Kontraktor Greg Paterno, said that his character is still a mystery because as the character evolves, he also discovers new things about Greg, while Baron Geisler, who plays Miguel Tecson, revealed that he already knows his character by heart and it is easy to automatically transform into Miguel during tapings. Additionally, Kaila Estrada, who portrays Max Alvero, expressed that she is proud to be playing a role that is compassionate and a symbol of women’s empowerment.

Meanwhile, Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings, who portray Gab Rivera and Tomas Guerrero, respectively, are thankful for all the support they are getting from viewers, consistently making “Incognito” one of the most-watched TV shows in Netflix PH and iWantTFC since its launch in January.

How will the Kontraks survive their toughest mission in Japan? Will they successfully beat their fierce opponents and complete the mission or will they suffer another loss out in the cold?
