Actor and performer Enrique Gil plan to give Philippine concerts a major change as he becomes Ticket2Me’s new investor and incoming Chief Marketing Officer.

On July 13, ticketing company Ticket2Me announced on its fifth-year anniversary celebration that Enrique and his talent manager Ranvel Rufino are the company’s new valuable additions.

In the conference, Enrique shared the time when he stepped away from showbiz for three years and thought of leaving a legacy to the entertainment industry before the time came that he was no longer around.

“Sabi ko, I need to create our production company. So, in the future, ‘pag kulubot na ‘ko, when I get older, and hindi na right for me to work or perform in front of the camera, I will still be able to provide content and entertainment to all my fans, to the viewers, for all the Filipinos. And that’s the same with Ticket2Me,” Enrique expressed.

Being called a visionary by Ticket2Me Chief Executive Officer Julie Bautista, Enrique envisions a “wider and better ticketing service” for all Filipinos through the ticketing company.

“Ayaw namin ‘yung masamang experience on concerts kasi alam ko napakahirap. I’ve experienced a lot of bad experiences,” Enrique told PH Events Insider, recalling his experience upon attending BTS’ concert in Hong Kong a few years ago.

“So for this Ticket2Me, I think it’s gonna be a breeze for all our consumers who will be using our website to get better tickets. Everything’s digital; they go to the website, get their tickets, and just go there [to the venue]. So the lines will be shorter [and] it’ll just be a good experience,” he added.

Ticket2Me is Enrique’s new business venture after setting up his production company with Ranvel Rufino as his own way of “giving back to the industry.”
