Actress and host Anne Curtis revealed that she is preparing to participate in the Tokyo Marathon this March to provide assistance to children who were victims of abuse.

On her Instagram account, Anne was applauded by netizens as she recently posted some photos of herself that were taken after completing a 32-kilometer run as part of her training for the upcoming marathon.

Anne happily announced that she is even more inspired and excited for the event as she is doing it for a charitable cause.

“I’m even more inspired because, as my past 2 marathons, I will be running for a very meaningful cause,” she said.

With the help of an international organization that promotes children’s rights, Anne will be running to raise funds dedicated to helping children who are victims of violence, abuse, and exploitation.

“Running with a purpose has always made each kilometre even more meaningful. And for my 3rd marathon in Tokyo on March 5, I’m dedicating it to help raise funds for child victims of violence, abuse and exploitation,” the actress-host said.

Anne also encouraged individuals to donate, no matter how big or small, because all donations will certainly contribute to changing the lives of all vulnerable and stigmatized children.

Her posts garnered a lot of positive comments and encouragement from fellow advocates, celebrity friends, and citizens who showed genuine support for the actress’ purpose.

Anne is also known as one of the advocates who raised funds for the emergency response program dedicated to the children who were victims of the Marawi crisis, where she gathered nearly Php300,000 for the cause.
