More Than 300 Caraga Workers Get PHP14.2 Million DOLE aid

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) distributed more than PHP14.2 million in grants to 41 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Caraga Region on Thursday, benefiting 336 workers.

The financial assistance, extended through DOLE’s Adjustment Measures Program, aims to help businesses withstand economic disruptions and preserve jobs.

“The DOLE 13 (Caraga) wants to ensure that employment will continue and the business of our MSMEs will flourish to generate more employment,” Regional Director Jason Balais said.

Grant amounts ranged from PHP300,000 to PHP400,000 per enterprise.

Createabilities Therapy Services, Inc. (CTSI), which serves 85 special needs children, received PHP400,000 for facility upgrades.

“We are thankful to the government for the financial support and for ensuring the welfare of workers,” CTSI administrator Joanna Avila said. (PNA)
