Processing business documents here just became faster and more convenient following the opening of a new business center near Sunburst Park, designed as a one-stop shop for clients and investors.

Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office head Velma Jane Lao, in an interview on Monday, said that with the center, the processing of documents becomes convenient since all concerned offices are housed in one building.

“It is like a one-stop shop for investors and business names. Although the OBO (Office of the Building Official) is at another building, all business permitting and special permits are here,” she said.

The newly opened facility houses the LEDIP Office and its Business Permits and Licensing Division, the City Treasurer’s Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection. It also accommodates the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Public-Private Partnership Office.

Lao said investors who would like to be oriented about the economic performance of the city can inquire at the center. And if right there and then they decide to invest, they can process their documents.

“We are already accepting clients since last week,” she said.

The center, inaugurated on June 27, 2025, also accommodates the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Public-Private Partnership Office. (PNA)
