New NAIA Infra Corp. announced on Monday, Mar. 3, the new automated parking system at Ninoy Aquino International Airport which is part of their efforts to modernize the airport and improve its services for all users, aiming to provide a faster, more convenient experience.

Real-time parking slot displays will be installed at Terminal 3 by next month and at Terminals 1 and 2 by May to further increase the system’s efficiency. This will enable drivers to check available spaces before entering.

Only cash payments are accepted at this time, however, the system will support multiple payment options including e-banks or wallets such as GCash and PayMaya, as well as debit and credit cards starting on Mar. 14 for even greater convenience.

The way the system works is they enter through unmanned entrances, receive an automated ticket, and with a QR code-based system, exit. This cuts a significant chunk of time and eliminates waiting periods and aids the overall traffic flow.

Autopay stations will be available and operational on all terminals by July 2025, expediting transactions.

This initiative by NNIC in improving their guests’ experience is a good step towards continuously bettering NAIA.
