Recognizing his outstanding contribution as a public servant, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas was recently honored as the Outstanding Public Servant of the Year for 2023.

On March 19, the RP Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) awarded Treñas the “Oustanding Public Servant of the Year 2023” after it evaluated public servants in January 2024.

According to RPMD, the public servant gained such recognition because of his high job performance and trust rating, not only from his constituents but also from other individuals residing in other cities.

“This recognition serves as a testament to our unwavering commitment to serving the people of our beloved city. Thank you for this meaningful recognition, RPMD. We remain steadfast in our dedication to advancing the welfare and prosperity of our community,” Mayor Treñas said.

Iloilo City Mayor Treñas has been serving the province for almost 20 years now, and he was known for his programs for the community and was also awarded before he received recognition this year.

In 2021, the public servant was also recognized as the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award Regional Winner and garnered other leadership awards since his term as the city mayor.

Up until this year, the city mayor still continues to assist individuals who reside in Iloilo and is providing different initiatives not only for the community but also for the whole country.
