To show the people of Abra that they are not alone during this difficult time, around 550 families were given relief packs in barangays Cabaroan, Velasco, and Bumagcat in Tayum that is near the epicenter of the earthquake, while 427 families received immediate support in barangays Cayapa and Bacooc in the town of Lagangilang.

“Salamat din sa inyo at natunugan niyo agad kami at nag-respond kayo,” Edwin Solano, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management officer said in an interview with “TV Patrol.”
