As the coronavirus pandemic continues, many tourist destinations are hit badly. For a long period of time almost everyone is required to stay at home, flights are grounded, and borders are close.

So, as some countries are slowly reopening their borders to global tourists with health and safety protocols, one way of enticing visitors back to their place is by giving several incentives and here are some places that offer incentives and freebies when you come and visit.

Sicily

Sicily, the largest Mediterranean island in Italy is offering vouchers that will cover half of your plane ticket fare. Also, for every three nights that you stay in a hotel, they will cover one of them which means you get one free night stay in a hotel if you are to stay there for three nights.

Cancun

Cancun, a city in Mexico resumed tourism in beach destinations of Cancun, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, and the Mayan Ruins with limited capacities. Cancun was one of the first few in the world to receive the “Safe Travels” global safety and hygiene stamp from the World Travel & Tourism Council which means that the city has implemented the new safety measures for travelers. Cancun is offering two free nights for every two paid nights, with limited discounts on plane tickets.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is one of the oldest states in Europe and is also famous for its natural diversity such as mountains, plains, Black Sea Coast, rivers, lakes, and hot springs. Bulgaria has officially reopened its borders recently so tourists from select countries are welcome. Some beaches in Bulgaria that used to have entrance fee are now free for tourists and they also offer free sun loungers, sunbeds, and tables.

Cyprus

The island country in the Eastern Mediterranean reopened its borders but only for travelers from certain countries.  What Cyprus is offering to its tourists is that if a traveler test positive for Covid-19 while on vacation in the Mediterranean island nation, the government will cover the fees for any accommodations, food, and medicine.

Japan

Japan is planning to allocate $12.5 Billion to a new reimbursement program. This initiative will probably let tourists receive some money back from the money that they will be spending for their trip. The tourism recovery campaign was expected to launch in July but due to some criticisms for an excessive budget, the campaign is postponed to a later date.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic is not yet over do not book your trips just yet. Keep track of the situation in the country that you want to visit and if it permits you to go, make sure to check all the necessary requirements that they need upon entry and always be mindful of your safety when you travel.
