Rainy Weekend Getaway In Baguio City

Baguio is the Summer Capital of the Philippines. But the City of Baguio has much more to offer as a destination even when it rains. Here are some activities for you to enjoy the much colder weather.

Staycation at Peredo’s Lodging House

Take bed weather to the next level. Coze up in a heritage house that is more than a hundred years old. Built in 1915, Peredo’s Lodging House was declared an Important Cultural Property by the National Museum in 2015. The house, including the furniture, was made from pine trees originally standing on the lot area. To warm you up, they serve hot French press coffee and delicious hot pandesal for breakfast.

Eat Local at Jen’s Fast Food

Located in Diego Silang Street near Lower Mabini, Jen’s Fast Food is the go-to eatery of locals who need to warm up. Serving hot mami and other noodle dishes, you’ll be amazed at the heaping bowl of noodles and soup you’ll get for a very cheap price of less than a hundred pesos. They also serve rice dishes, desserts and hot pandesal.

Chill at Kitchy Katt Kaffe

Located in Session Road, Kitchy Katt Kaffe is a Hello Kitty-themed cafe that also serves pasta, snacks and desserts. Of course, what they serve best is coffee and frappe in cute Hello Kitty mugs and mason jars. Chill with your girl friends at this pink cafe or simply enjoy their coffee with your boy friends.
