Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will offer free rides to Filipino seafarers on Tuesday in celebration of the International Day of the Seafarer.
In its advisory on Monday, the MRT-3 management said the free rides will be provided from 5:30 AM until the end of its regular operations at 10:30 PM.
“Seafarers need only to show their Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB) or PRC ID to our ticket sellers or security guards that are stationed in the service gate in order to avail of the free ride,” the MRT-3’s advisory read.
The International Day of the Seafarer, annually observed on June 25, was designated by the International Maritime Organization in 2010 to recognize the contributions made by the world’s seafarers. (PNA)
